Open-world games or juegos de mundo abierto, have evolved the way we play. No strict rules, it’s just you against the world, having the right to explore, build, fight, and create to complete all the missions.

You can swing through tall buildings, wander in futuristic cities, and build your own imaginary world. Open-world games are a big contribution to the global gaming industry

In this article, I will tell you about the top 5 open-world games that continue to define what true gaming looks like.

Grand Theft Auto V

GTA V, a game full of action and adventure that was developed and published by Rockstar Games, was released in 2013. This part is considered to be the seventh main part of the GTA series.

The game is set in a fictional state of Sand Andreas that is based on Southern California. The game is single-player, featuring three main characters: a retired bank robber, Michael De Santa, a street gangster, Franklin Clinton, and a drug dealer, Trevor Philips.

You can enjoy playing all three characters in an open-world setting (entorno de mundo abierto), allowing you to wander in San Andreas’ open countryside and the city of Los Santos, based in Los Angeles.

The game can be played in third-person and first-person perspectives. The game revolves around the three protagonists, who are centered on a heist sequence and doing other missions that involve shooting and driving.

Moreover, the online mode of GTA V allows 30 players to play in different competitive gaming modes. I like playing this mode, since it allows all my friends to do some boysing in a virtual world where there is no enforcement of law, and we can do whatever we want.

I would recommend that you play the online version of GTA, and for that, you need a steady internet connection to enjoy a lag-free experience. You can count on Spectrum Internet for that matter, as it is widely available and offers unlimited data and no long-term contract.

And if you are a Spanish speaker, it’s not an issue since they offer bilingual customer support; just contact Spectrum Servicio al Cliente en Español, and they will guide you through the details of their services. And you can subscribe to any of them that fulfill your needs.

Minecraft

In simple words, Minecraft is a game where players can place blocks and go on different adventures. Players can craft anything, like containers, buildings, houses, castles, and cities, or even complex devices, all in the virtual world.

Think of Minecraft as a world full of complexities, allowing players to imagine, design, and create anything they want.

The game can be played in two basic modes: survival and creative mode. In Survival mode, players forage for food and eliminate enemies with different weapons like swords or pickaxes. Players need to be resourceful when they are exploring, since they can be attacked by creatures like the iconic creeper.

Creative mode in Minecraft offers an open-ended experience where players do not have to worry about health, hunger, or enemies attacking. This mode allows players to fly and have unlimited access to all the resources in the game.

Players have all the materials to use and can create whatever they want, ranging from a big city to a small room. It tests their creativity. All possibilities are endless in the creative mode!
